V-8 natural aspirated with absolutely no modifications. Engine must be same make as body. GM in GM, Ford in Ford, etc.

CARBURETOR

Stock production carburetors, may use holley 4412, must pass no go. 1 inch adapter plate allowed with 2 .065 gaskets.

$ 1,000.00 CLAIMER RULE

Will be pre-veil. 2nd place feature can claim 1st place car’s engine for $ 1,000.00 cash. Claim engine DOES NOT INCLUDE exhaust manifolds, bell housing, clutch, flywheel, starter, carburetor, alternator, fan, pulleys, distributor and fuel pump. There will be NO protesting in this division, engine will be subject to track inspection.

ELIGIBLE CARS

1971 and up 2 and 4 door American made sedans, 107” min. wheel base. May cut top for roll bar clearance. May cut outer finder wells. Doors must be welded or bolted shut. Must remove all chrome and glass except windshield. May run after market front nose piece. Front fenders and doors may be after market aluminum. May remove anything that bolts to the car (interior components, heater boxes, front inner wells, etc.).

REAR SPOILER

60” wide by 7” running length maximum. Cannot be adjustable or have front or rear rudders.

REAR END

Must be same make as manufacture, cannot interchange makes. May lock or weld spider gears.

TIRES

8” wide maximum, must have DOT stamp.

WHEELS

8” maximum steel wheels only.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

4 point roll cage 1-3/4” x .090 minimum rear braces optional.Engine loops allowed. Four left side door bars, 3 right side. Window net. Five point harness (3” lap, 2” shoulder and sub. belt), fire extinguisher (gauge and quick release), drive shaft loop ( ¼” x 2” min.), track approved scatter shield, track approved helmet, roll bar padding (drivers area), rear fire wall, gas tank must be securely mounted in trunk area. Battery must be securely mounted and fully enclosed. Front and rear bumper caps mandatory. Fire retardant clothes and fuel cell recommended. Fabricated racing type seats ONLY, cannot be fiberglass. All holes in front firewall must be sealed using minimum 22 gauge sheet metal.

SPRINGS AND SHOCKS

May run after market springs and shocks, must mount in original unaltered mounts. Lowering blocks permitted on rear leaf spring cars.

WEIGHT  

Minimum weight with driver after race should be 3150 lbs."All rules are subject to tech officials interpretation. Competitors found to be in violation of the rules will be given the chance to correct the infractions prior to the start of the feature event. Competitors found to be in violation after the feature event will be disqualified for that nights event. Disqualified competitors will surrender all purses and points for that event."
