"Anything not mentioned in the rules below must remain stock."
ENGINE
1. Engine block must be OEM production. Must be product of manufacturer.
2. No SVO or Chrysler 355 blocks allowed.
3.No aluminum blocks allowed.
4. Maximum overbore on Chevy 350 and Ford 351 - .060, Chrysler 360 - .030 .
5. Block may be deburred and polished internally. No lightening allowed.
PISTONS
6. Any aluminum flat top piston with three rings in place.
7. May cut valve relief’s for clearance.
8. Stock diameter steel piston pins only. Pins may be floated.
9. Aftermarket 6 inch rods allowed.
10. Stock connecting rods may be polished and use aftermarket bolts.
CRANKSHAFTS
11. Any OEM type steel crank allowed. NO BILLET crankshafts allowed.
12. Cranks must have stock stroke, minimum 47 lbs.
13. Any balancer allowed.
14. Any wet sump oil pan allowed, may use windage tray.
15. Any stock type oil pump allowed. Any pickup allowed.
16. Oil coolers allowed.
CAMSHAFT
17. Any hydraulic or solid lifter cams allowed.
18. No roller or mushroom lifters allowed.
19. Lifter boxes may be bushed, must remain OEM diameter.
20. No roller cam bushings allowed.
21. Double roller timing chains allowed, NO belt or gear drives allowed.
CYLINDER HEADS
22. Any stock production steel head allowed
23. No aluminum heads allowed.
24. May be angle milled.
25. Chevy may use the 492 casting.
26. World Products castings # 4361 or # 1-052 allowed .
27. OEM GM vortec heads must be 062 or 906 castings only. No exceptions.
28. Ford may use the steel GT-40 or Australian Cleveland head or World products Windsor jr. # 1-056.
29. Chrysler W-2 head is not allowed.
30. May be angle milled.
1. ½” port match only allowed. No other porting or polishing allowed.
32. Max valve sizes- all GM, all Mopar, and Ford Windsor, Intake 2.02 Exhaust 1.6 . Ford Cleveland Intake 2.19 Exhaust 1.71 .
33. No titanium valves allowed.
34. Roller rockers allowed. May use 3/8” or 7/16” studs. Stud girdles allowed.
35. Valve springs optional, any steel retainer and lock.
36. All heads must have matching casting numbers side to side.
INTAKE / CARBURETOR INTAKE
37. Any intake manifold allowed.
38. ½” port match only allowed. No other porting or polishing allowed.
39. May angle mill to match heads.
40. Exhaust crossover may be blocked.
CARBURETOR
41. Any single two barrel carburetor.
42. A maximum 1” thick adapter plate may be used.
43. Two .065” maximum thickness gaskets may be used.
44. Two carb return springs mandatory.
45. Air cleaner must use a metal top and bottom.
IGNITION
46. Aftermarket distributors permitted.
47. May run MSD.
48. Aftermarket coils permitted.
49. Any plug wire permitted.
50. No crank triggers or DIS systems allowed.
TRANSMISSION
51. Any factory type 3 or 4 speed transmission. OEM 5 speed allowed, 5th gear may be removed.
52. All forward and reverse gears must work. No lightening of any kind allowed.
53. Any stock type flywheel allowed. 14 lbs. minimum. No aluminum flywheels allowed.
54. Stock type or OEM replacement clutch and pressure plate only. May run mini clutch but must add 50 lbs of weight (weight with mini clutch will be 3050 lbs). A 1" hole is required in the bell housing for tech inspection. Top 3 finishers may be checked after every feature event.
55. Drive shaft must be steel and painted white.
56. Hydraulic release bearing allowed.
57. Blow proof bell housing mandatory.
58. No aftermarket transmissions allowed.
REAR DIFFERENTIAL
59. Any stock type housing allowed.
60. May interchange between makes.
61. No quick change allowed.
62. May use floater style hubs. 5 on 5 or wide 5 permitted.
BRAKES
63. Four wheel disc allowed.
64. Dual master cylinders with balance bar and adjustable proportion valves permitted.
65. Any OEM spindle, any rotor, or any brake pad allowed, single piston calipers only.
66. Brakes must be operable on all 4 wheels.
67. Heavy duty wheel studs and lug nuts required.
BODY
68. Stock appearing aftermarket steel, fiberglass or aluminum allowed.
69. Car must have steel firewall and floor pan from front firewall to rear seat. Front and rear firewall must be completely sealed.
70. Rear must have 8" minimum cover. Must be attached to both quarter panels and to the rear deck. No hinges allowed.
71. All rub rails must be flush with body with ends tied into the frame.
72. Spoiler 8 inches in height and no wider than the rear deck. Front rudder allowed (19 inches length maximum).
73. All cars may use 1970-1981 Camaro and Firebird front sub-frame. Sub-frames may be modified.
74. Wheelbase 100 inches minimum.
75. #1 plug must line up with top ball joint.
76. Cars must weigh 3000 lbs. after race with driver.
CHASSIS
77. Stock reinforced chassis. Can tube from center of rear end back.
78. Full tube chassis not allowed.
79. OEM stock type rack and pinion steering allowed. Must be same make and model for vehicle.
80. All cars may use leaf springs. Leaf spring cars may use lowering blocks.
81. Any non-adjustable shock. No coil-over springs allowed. Front and rear coil springs must be minimum 5" diameter.
82. Rear leaf spring cars may use rear sliders.
83. Wedge bolts allowed front and rear.
84. No floater device on rear end housing allowed.
85. Aftermarket tie rods allowed. 86. Aftermarket spring mounts allowed.
87. Lower A frames must remain stock.
88. Upper A frames and mount may be aftermarket.
89. All may use rear sway bar. Heim joints may be used on sway bar.
90. Uni-body cars must tie together front and rear sub-frames.
91. Stock production 4-link suspension allowed.
92. Track width maximum 68 inches center to center of tire.
93. Steel wheels not to exceed 10 inches in width.
94. Wheel spacers allowed.
SAFETY
95. Fuel cell, safety net, aluminum racing seat, and racing harness required.
96. Racing harness must utilize 5 pt. hookup.
97. Fuel cell must be securely fastened in car. Subject to tech official inspection.
98. One 12 volt battery allowed. Battery must be mounted securely. Cannot be mounted in drivers compartment.
99. No electric fuel pumps allowed.
100. Fire retardant full racing suit mandatory.
101. Helmet must be Snell or DOT approved.
MISC
102. Aftermarket starter allowed in stock location.
103. Any header allowed. Exhaust system cannot be wrapped.
104. Factory type aluminum water pump allowed. Aluminum pulleys allowed.
105. Aftermarket racing type radiators allowed.
106. Aftermarket motor mounts allowed. "All rules are subject to tech officials interpretation. Competitors found to be in violation of the rules will be given the chance to correct the infractions prior to the start of the feature event. Competitors found to be in violation after the feature event will be disqualified for that nights event. Disqualified competitors will surrender all purses and points for that event."
